Guitar Fretboard with Silver Capo

What is a guitar capo? A capo (pronounced kay-poh) is a small device that is attached onto the fretboard of a guitar or other stringed instrument between frets in order to raise the pitch of all the strings held down by the capo. It is an easy way to change the key being played in, but also useful for playability and/or getting the best sound from the instrument in non-guitar-friendly keys, or for achieving alternate tunings through the use of specialty capos that only hold down some strings while leaving others to ring “open.”
